What we collect
Identity: your name, phone number or email, and the language you prefer.
Farm data: farm boundaries you or your cooperative map, crops, field activities, observations and season records you enter or approve.
Derived data: weather at your farm location, satellite vegetation signals for your fields, and advisory the platform generates for you.
Technical data: sign-in history and security logs that protect your account.
Why we collect it
To build your Farmer Passport and Farm Passport: verified records that follow the farmer, not the paperwork.
To send warnings and advice that are relevant to your actual fields.
To make you visible, with your consent, to cooperatives, buyers and financiers so your farm history can translate into opportunity.
Who owns the data
You do. Your records remain yours. FarmAI Venture is the custodian, not the owner.
Organizations you work with see only what you choose to share, and nothing more.
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time via info@farmaiventure.com.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share data with governments or researchers without a governed, documented basis and, wherever possible, your consent.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that affect your access to finance without a human in the loop at the partner institution.
Status of this policy
FarmAI Venture is in pilot. This policy describes our current practice and will grow with the product (formal DPIA, retention schedules and third-party processor lists land with scale-up, per our data governance framework).
Material changes will be announced on this page and, for account holders, by message before they take effect.
