Getting started6
FarmAI Venture gives every farmer a verified digital identity (Farmer Passport), every farm a verified map and record (Farm Passport), and every decision a data foundation: weather, satellite and AI tools that work on a basic phone.
Smallholder farmers first, then the organizations around them: cooperatives and farmer groups, NGOs and development projects, financial institutions, agribusiness and extension services. Each uses the same records for a different purpose.
A phone number or an email address. We send you a 6-digit code to verify it is you; there is no password to create or forget. The platform works in English and French on any modern phone browser.
Yes. Sign in with the email on your account instead, or contact us and we will verify your identity before restoring access. Your passport is never lost because a device was lost.
You need a connection to sign in and sync, but the app is designed for weak networks: it shows your last synced data clearly labeled as offline, and queues your entries until the network returns. We pilot in areas with poor coverage on purpose.
English and French, the working languages of our pilot region. You pick your language at registration and can switch at any time from the menu. More languages are on the roadmap as we expand.
Farms and mapping5
Open the app, choose Register a farm, and walk (or ride) along the boundary of your field while the phone records GPS points. When you close the loop, the platform computes the exact area and perimeter automatically. No surveyor, no estimating.
You can draw the boundary on a map instead. The area is computed the same way and the record is marked with how it was captured. You can re-walk the boundary later to upgrade the record to GPS-verified.
Yes. Every plot gets its own map, its own crops and its own season records, all linked to your farmer passport. Many farmers register the family field and leased plots side by side.
The platform is crop-agnostic: records, weather and satellite signals work for any crop. The AI copilot currently answers with the best depth on staple crops of the region (maize, cassava, yam, rice, cotton, soy) and general horticulture.
GPS-walked boundaries are accurate to a few meters on the perimeter, which typically puts area accuracy within 2 to 5 percent depending on how steadily you walk. That is precise enough for financing, insurance and yield conversations.
Your data and privacy4
You do. Your records live in your passport and FarmAI Venture is the custodian, not the owner. Cooperatives, buyers and financiers see only what you choose to share, and nothing more.
Yes, at any time, by writing to info@farmaiventure.com. We export your data to you first if you want it, then delete the account. Deleting is real deletion, not just hiding.
Never. Selling farmer data would destroy the trust the platform is built on. Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be shared with partners and researchers under governed agreements, never your personal records.
Only you by default. When you take part in a cooperative program or apply for financing, you choose what to share: often just verification status, area and season history, not your full records.
Credit and financing4
No. The platform produces a transparent credit-readiness profile from your verified records, and shows you financing programs you may qualify for. Decisions, approval and money always belong to the financial institution. We are the evidence and referral layer.
From documented components: identity completeness, verification level, production history, climate resilience of your farms and platform engagement. Each component is visible in your profile, so you always know what drives the number and what would improve it.
No. The score is not shared with anyone without your action: you decide to express interest in a program, and only then does your profile go to that partner. A low score simply tells you which records to strengthen.
Programs from partner institutions: seasonal input credit, equipment leasing, cooperative loans and climate-smart agriculture lines. Programs are matched to your profile by eligibility rules, not advertising.
Plans and pricing4
Farmers start free: $0 gets you the passport, farm mapping, weather alerts and basic advisory. Starter is $7 per month and Professional is $20 per month, adding satellite intelligence, business tools and full marketplace access. Enterprise Farm for cooperatives and agribusiness is by agreement. Prices are in US dollars and stay the same for every country.
FarmAI is a year-round platform, not only a cropping-season companion: weather warnings, financing connections and the marketplace run at any time, inside or outside the agricultural calendar. A flat monthly price keeps that simple and predictable.
Mobile money (T-Money and Flooz at launch, expanding across West and Central Africa) and international credit or debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) through a Stripe-class payment processor. Marketplace sellers pay a 2% commission on completed sales. Cooperatives can also settle for their members in bulk.
Yes. The free tier is permanent, not a trial: it carries the farmer passport, farm mapping, season records, weather alerts and basic advisory. Paid tiers add satellite monitoring, deeper intelligence and business reporting as they ship.
For cooperatives and partners4
We start with one cooperative or project: onboard members with verified identities, map their farms by GPS, and run weather warnings and the copilot for one full season. You measure the results; we support the rollout and training.
The platform exposes a documented REST API covering farm records, weather and vegetation indices, and lead capture. Partners integrate from their side with standard tooling, and our team assists during pilots.
Phones sync when coverage returns; the app shows clearly labeled last-synced data in the meantime. For extension agents working far off-grid, offline-first collection is on the V2 roadmap (USSD and field-agent tools).
Pre-matched farmer profiles with explainable readiness components, verified farm existence, size and history before any field visit, and satellite monitoring of portfolio farms between repayment cycles. You underwrite on your own terms; we never decide.
Security and trust4
Sign-in uses one-time codes delivered to your phone or email, so there are no passwords to steal. Sessions are token-based and expire; every sensitive action is audited. Access to production data is restricted and logged.
In a managed cloud database encrypted at rest and in transit, hosted in the EU. The platform follows a documented data governance framework aligned with Togo and ECOWAS data protection expectations, and a formal DPIA lands before scale-up.
The copilot answers only from a curated agronomic knowledge base, cites its sources and blocks financial or medical claims. Advisory is decision support, not a guarantee: verify critical actions with your cooperative agronomist or extension officer.
